7 social media content ideas for hotels
Looking for social media ideas for your hotel or B&B?
We’ve got one week’s worth of content planned out for you. Steal these 7 social media ideas for your hotel’s marketing plan this month.
DAY 1: Top things to do in your location
When choosing where to stay and travel, potential future guests want to know how they’ll be spending their time away from home. It’s important to share content outside the four walls of your hotel and B&B.
Whether that’s an Instagram reel covering the best beaches to visit nearby, or a round-up of family-friendly attractions in the area. Tag any other businesses you feature to increase your chances of being shared and always remember to tag your location in the post.
DAY 2: POV: it’s Monday and you’re waking up to this view
This social media idea is perfect for hotel rooms with impressive views - whether it’s countryside, ocean, or cityscapes. Film some dreamy shots of the view from the perspective of the guest. Add the caption ‘POV: it’s Monday and you’re waking up to this view’ as a text hook over the video.
DAY 3: Breakfast options
Choose a dish from your breakfast menu and film a short reel of this being plated up. Pick something that looks good on camera or has a lot of satisfying shots e.g. maple syrup pouring over pancakes or poached egg pops.
DAY 4: History/throwback
If your hotel or B&B has a story - tell it! Share old photos from years gone by that show the evolution or roots of your business. From interior design changes from previous decades, to famous past guests or historical events.
DAY 5: Glass of bubbles in a bubble bath
If your rooms have luxurious bathrooms with freestanding bath tubs or hot tubs, set the scene for a relaxing evening in with a glass of bubbles. This could be shot as a reel, or with photography.
DAY 6: Team content
Employee-generated content is a big trend for 2025 and a fantastic way to boost your engagement on social media. Get your team involved in your marketing with a funny challenge or a trend.
DAY 7: Guest testimonial
Choose one of your best reviews (look on TripAdvisor, Facebook, or similar), find the best image that relates to that review. For example, if they compliment one specific suite, choose a photo of that room, and share the review in quote marks as your caption.
