7 social media content ideas for coffee shops
Looking for social media ideas for your coffee shop or cafe?
We’ve got one week’s worth of content planned out for you. Steal these 7 social media ideas for your marketing plan this month.
DAY 1: Day in the life of a cafe owner
Film snippets throughout your day to edit together as a day in the life video, giving your customers a behind-the-scenes peek at what you do. This could start from when you open up shop in the morning, to the coffee beans you have delivered, sharing what’s going on in the kitchen, and any interesting interactions you have with the team/customers.
DAY 2: Satisfying latte art
Film yourself or your best barista making a satisfying coffee or speciality drink. If you’ve got someone great at latte art, get them to create something niche or on trend - e.g. hearts for Valentine’s Day or a character/theme from a new movie just released.
DAY 3: Meet the team
Share a photo or an interview style video of one of your team members with some fun facts about them. People love people on social media, and this will add some personality to your business.
DAY 4: Baking ASMR
Get in the kitchen to film how your food is created - choose recipes or methods that look satisfying on camera - e.g. piping icing onto a cake, dough rises in the oven, processes with fun sounds and colours.
DAY 5: POV: you find the cosiest coffee shop in _____
Edit together short video snippets that showcase the atmosphere and vibe of your cafe. Swap out the word ‘cosiest’ for the most appropriate word that tells people what your place is about, and fill in the blank with the town/city your coffee shop is located in.
DAY 6: Giveaway a free recipe
Share a photo or video of one of your dishes with a link to your website for the recipe. You could also try and grow your email subscribers list by offering to email the recipe to anyone who signs up to your newsletter.
DAY 7: Dog-friendly content
If you’re dog-friendly, post photos of some of the regular pups (with the owner’s permission of course). If you’re feeling creative, you could even film a video from the POV of your dog customers.
